11th & 12th grade (or teacher approval)

Prerequisite Advanced Marketing

Students prepare for KOSSA Industry Certification, ASK Industry Certification, and experience all aspects of small business management including entrprenuership, finance, marketing, promotion, communcation, employability, and human resource mangement through the operation of our school-based enterprise.  This course allows students the opportunity to learn outside the four walls of the class room and gain valuable work experience

​The College/Career Readiness Rate depends on ACT scores, college placement scores and for the Career component, Industry Certificates, KOSSA, WorkKeys, and ASVAB.

 

All students in third class of a pathway are required to KOSSA test. 

 

Management KOSSA - (managment pathway)

 

Ask Industry Certification - Increasingly, companies are finding certification of business skills to be an effective way of identifying qualified employees. Similarly, career and technical education programs are using certification programs to document both student and program successes.  The A*S*K Business Institute provides an industry-based certificate program based on extensive research of industry practice and formal validation by business practitioners. Each A*S*K certificate is based on well-documented performance indicators that define skills and requisite knowledge required for success in the business community.
