Entrprenuership - marketing pathway

1 credit - SCHOOL STORE

11th & 12th grade (or teacher approval)

Prerequisite Advanced Marketing

Students prepare for KOSSA Industry Certification, ASK Industry Certification, and experience all aspects of small business management including entrprenuership, finance, marketing, promotion, communcation, employability, and human resource mangement through the operation of our school-based enterprise.  This course allows students the opportunity to learn outside the four walls of the class room and gain valuable work experience

 

 

Fashion Marketing 1 - fashion marketing pathway

1 Credit

Prerequisite Advanced Marketing)

Prepare for career in the fashion industry including studying fashion history, fashion design, retailing, and fashion promotion.  The instruction includes basic fashion and marketing basics, the use of design and color, promotions, visual merchandising, and professional opportunities. 

 

 

Internet Marketing - ecommerce pathway

1 Credit

Prerequisite Advanced Marketing

Explore ecommerce, website management, social media, and online promotion.  Students learn how to practice good marketing principles in an “electronic” marketing place.  Leadership development will be provided through DECA as well as through management, development, and operations of the online school store. 

 

 

Sports and Event Marketing - sports marketing pathway

1 Credit

Prerequisite Advanced Marketing

Examine sponsorship, branding, and licensing; as well as the economic impact of the sports and entertainment industry. This course is designed to develop a thorough understanding of the marketing and managment concpets and theories that apply to sports and events.  

 

 

Travel and Tourism Marketing - hospitatllity, travel, & tourism pathway

1 Credit

Prerequisite Advanced Marketing

Explore all aspects of the travel and tourism industry including restaurants, lodging, entertainment, retail, travel, and hospitatlity.  Develop projects that examine services marketing in the travel industry and the development of hospitality packages.   This course focuses on communication skills, teamwork, economics, promotion, marketing-information management, and selling. 

 

 

Advertising and Promotion - advertising pathway

1Credit

Produce, promote, and design advertising campiagns. This course is designed to provide students with a realistic “hands-on” application of techniques used in the advertising and promotion of goods and services. Students use digital media (computer-generated text, graphics, photographs, sound and video) equipment, while being exposed to all forms of media (print, web page, etc.) used by industry today.
