Dual Credit – 1 High school credit + 1 College Credit - There is no cost to receive Dual Credit in this course. To receive Dual Credit, students must be a Junior or Senior, have a 3.0 HS GPA, and have an 18 ACT composite or 21 ACT PLAN composite score. The Dual Credit will be recorded on a Morehead college transcript and can be transferred to another school by having the college transcript sent to another school.
This class instructs students about how to participate in Mock Trials and takes an advanced look at trial practice. Students will compete in exciting Mock Trials during this class. Students taking this course can earn a College Credit that can be used at any State school in Kentucky.

Have you ever wondered what a 911 center does and looks like? Well here is your chance to find out. 911 Dispatch teaches all the details of dispatching. You will learn how to talk to police officers, fire and EMS personnel over a simulated radio, learn all the lingo that officers use and learn how to ask questions to the public. We will also take trips to 911 center, police stations, fire stations, courts and the detention center. You will also become CPR certified during the class. At the end of the class you will take a test that will certify you as a dispatcher. This certification will enable you to be eligible for a dispatching job. If you are in the Public Safety pathway this is a wonderful class to take even if you dont want to become a dispatcher because you learn all about how police, fire and EMS conduct radio traffic and become familiar with how they work.
